Ok, so it has been 3 years since I said "I'm back!" the last time. I'm not crying wolf, I promise. I had good intentioned but life caught up with me. My 6 month old is now 3 1/2! My 3 1/2 year old 6 1/2! Life has changed. Some parts are easier, some parts are harder, but all is good.
Anyone who has had kids knows that it could be described as "2-3 years of hell for a lifetime of happiness." That is the tagline I employed while convincing my husband for baby #2. It worked! And here I am --rising from the ashes of hell*, dusting myself off, and getting ready to document and capture the fun, tough, incredible, exhausting family life that is mine.
*hell is indeed an exaggeration - but - it is a tough and trying time. I am sure I will look back on them as the "days of wine and roses" as my Mom always reminds me.
Here are my two "babies"...good looking kids if I do say so myself.
Beck is an extremely active, crazy, funny, smart, independent boy who can talk the paint of the walls and will never turn down a sport -- any sport. Basketball and soccer are current faves. Oh and baseball but he completely rejects a Tee no Tee Ball for this guy.
Skylar is an outgoing, creative, sensitive, smart, and witty girl who loves art, all things pink, and (gasp!) her little brother...really! We have been blessed by how tolerant she is of him and loving. At times she is 6 going on 14 but other times she is my little baby girl who just wants Mama. I love both parts although the 14 year can wait. as long as she wants. to come live here.
We also have a new addition to the family: The Fonz, Fonzie, Arthur Fonzarelli. We rescued this lab/pit mix in December and he just completed our family after the passing of my beloved dog Rueben last summer. (I still get teary, I loved him so much -- my companion of 14 years.)
The Fonz fit in perfectly and he is perfectly loved and spoiled over here at Casa de Christensen.
